Let me begin by saying Dr. Goldman does not need me to review her. She already knows how gifted she is and she is held in high regard by her peers in Veterinary Medicine. I’m writing this review so pet owners in the area (South Carolina and Georgia) that have pets that are or could potentially be diagnosed with a devastating medical diagnosis know that Endeavour exists to provide optimal veterinary care with diagnoses backed by medical research and evidence; education to pet owners; and collaborative veterinary care to your pet. The name of this practice signifies its dedication to your pet. Like many pet owners, I was referred to Endeavour and moseyed up I-20 to Columbia with my pet that means more to me than most things in the world. I had no clue what was going on with my pet and why we were being referred. After a very tense ultrasound exploration of my pet by Dr. Goldman, who seemed to have superwoman x-ray vision, she came into the consultation room and wrote down a few medical terms on a white board that I had never seen in my life. She proceeded to educate me on what we were potentially dealing with as I shriveled to the floor clasping my dog in my hands. Over the next few weeks Dr. Goldman methodically ordered several tests for my pet to undergo to confirm a diagnosis. Like most of us, I went home and googled the heck out of this disorder only to learn a few things: there was not much literature available and that, because of this, I had to cling to Dr. Goldman and a Facebook support group for information. Throughout this entire process, Dr. Goldman consistently gained my trust by presenting me with information supported by medical evidence and research, referring me to a trusted and skilled surgeon, and being completely transparent about potential outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Goldman worked collaboratively with my local vet and the veterinary soft tissue surgeon to create a team of veterinarians that were making the best decisions for my pet to try and ensure a favorable result. I would be remiss if I did not mention that every question I had, no matter how insignificant it seemed, was addressed by Dr. Goldman herself and, in those many conversations, I discovered one of the most compassionate veterinarians I have ever met in my 40+ years of owning dogs. We are very lucky to have Dr. Goldman and her all star team in this area. Do not hesitate to bring your pet to Endeavour Veterinary Group. P.S. We did have a good outcome. Dr. Goldman helped to save my pet’s life if I haven’t convinced you already. Pumpkin and I will forever be grateful.
