We have a senior pup who’s been going there for the last 5 years, and a 1.5 year old who’s been going there since we brought her home from Lexington County Animal Services last fall. As far as I know, Dr. Floyd is the only Dr. in house and I know that’s a downside for some people but I love that we get to see the same doctor every visit and my dogs know exactly who he is. They have phenomenal prices and very knowledgable staff. Dr. Floyd knows what is common with different breeds and what is cause for alarm. He talks you through all of your options and every step that would come along with each of those options. He also explains what each of those options would look like for both you and your pet. He doesn’t try to push unnecessary services/treatments on you and tries to get the job done without medication intervention if at all possible. Our senior dog has a bit of an attitude problem and can get snippy because he doesn’t like being touched. Despite him being 75 lbs and a large dog, the staff has never reacted fearfully, when he gets testy. They just have me muzzle him (understandably so, for their own safety). Their calmness and kindness goes beyond what I would ever expect from a veterinary office and means the world. We have had to take our dogs for everything from skin infections, to allergies and even heart worm treatment when we first brought our boy home. I have always been able to get in same day or next for anything outside of the annual checkup and shots. Dr. Floyd really really cares about you and your pets. He also responds very well to individual pet behavior. Both of our dogs are very different and hate going to the vet. He reacts/responds/greets them differently and really meets them on their level. I cannot recommend him enough.

Each of the staff members are easy to work and communicate with for the cats of our fur babies. They love the staff as they interact for their care each visit. Dr Floyd is a wonderful caring person and Veterarian. I love that he sits on the floor at their level to ease anxiety. He was not hesitant or nonchalant about the end of life for my hero dog.
